GREETINGS, EVERYONE! On this Saturday, take some time to enjoy the beauty of God's good creation as you prepare for the Lord's Day worship gathering tomorrow.

On personal note, I would like to invite you to join us between 4 pm and 7 pm today in the Fellowship Hall as we celebrate Chloe's graduation from MHS.

THE LORD'S DAY (5/15):
  • Bible Study for All Ages, 9:30 am. There is no better time than the present to join a Sunday morning Bible study. Age-graded classes from nursery through high school plus four non-age graded classes for adults are available.
  • Worship Together at 10:40 in the Sanctuary. Sermon subject will be "Something Greater" from Luke 11:29-36, where Jesus answers those among the religious crowd who "kept seeking from him a sign from heaven" (11:16). Come find out what that sign was and the significance Jesus attached to it.
  • Scriptures for Sunday.  Here are the Scriptures we will be reading that will shape our corporate worship. Take a few moments to read and meditate on them. Also, we have seven different Scriptures in our morning worship, so they make a great resource for personal or family worship Sunday through Saturday. You may also notice in our weekly corporate worship that the reading of a Scripture is the first formal act of worship as we heard God speak through His word. then we respond in prayer, praise, thanksgiving, affirmation of faith, repentance, reflection, commitment, etc. The service is structured as a dialogue between God and His gathered people.

Click anywhere on the link to see a printable version of these passages on biblegateway.com
    • Fighter Verses: Galatians 5:24-25
    • Call to Worship: Psalm 148
    • Scripture Readings: Acts 11:1-18; Revelation 21:1-6
    • Assurance of Pardon: Psalm 32:1-2
    • Scripture Text: Luke 11:29-36
    • Benediction: Numbers 6:24-36

  • Maysville High School Graduation Commencement will be at 1:30 pm in the New Gym. Our grads are Bella Wagers and Chloe Dixon. Congratulations!
  • Ukraine Missionary "Stephan" visit to Journey Baptist Church. Service is 6 pm followed by a time of greeting and fellowship at 7 pm. For those interested in finding out more about this missionary visit, I have included an attachment with more information.

GREETINGS, EVERYONE! Just a reminder that this morning (Saturday, April 30) we have a work day scheduled at the church. Weather permitting, the metal roof and siding will be installed on the storage shed. Other indoor and outdoor projects are on our list, so come on out and help if you are able and available. I will be bringing the donuts/apple fritters from Sweet Al's, Lord willing!

THE LORD'S DAY (5/1):
  • Graduate Breakfast, 8:30 am: Everyone is invited to come and celebrate our graduates, high school and beyond, with a special breakfast in their honor. I encourage everyone to attend this special service as we pray for and with our high school graduates and their families.
