Greetings, Church Family and Friends!
The last few days have felt like spring, and the promise of new life is just around the corner. Praise the Lord for His grace and goodness toward us all, and especially us as His people! BIBLE QUIZ MEET AT LAWSON BAPTIST CHURCH, today, noon to 4 pm. Pray for our quiz team "Switch" as they compete with 150+ other quizzers from the region. The team will leave from the church at 10:45 am and return by approximately 5 pm. For those who might like to observe the team in action, the church is located on Hwy 69 continuing south of the turnoff to downtown Lawson for about 1/2 mile or so. Answer: The outward and ordinary means by which Christ communicates to us the benefits of redemption are his ordinances, especially the Word, Baptism, the Lord’s Supper and Prayer; all of which are made effectual to the elect for salvation. Answer: The Spirit of God makes the reading, but especially the preaching of the Word, an effectual means of convincing and converting sinners, and of building them up in holiness and comfort, through faith unto salvation.
