GREETINGS, FBC FAMILY AND FRIENDS,
What a beautiful day God has given to us today! Please take time to read through this update in preparation for the Lord's Day tomorrow, and plan today to attend Bible Study and worship tomorrow morning.

THE LORD'S DAY (3/26):
  • Bible Study for All Ages, 9:30 am. Nursery through Senior Adult, we have a group for you!
  • Worship Together at 10:40 in the Sanctuary. The sermon will focus on Luke 20:27-40 "Resurrection Questions" in which the Sadducees try to stump Jesus on the subject of the resurrection from the dead. This is His third encounter with the religious leaders and their questions. Unlike the other two instances, however, He doesn't answer their question with another question; He responds directly, with clarity, brevity, and authority. After this, no one dared to ask Jesus any more questions.
Scriptures for Sunday.  Here are the Scriptures we will be reading that will shape our corporate worship. Take a few moments to read and meditate on them as you prepare for worship tomorrow. Click anywhere on the link to see a printable version of these passages on biblegateway.com
  • Call to Worship: Psalm 96:4-5
  • Confession: Psalm 130
  • Assurance of Pardon: Romans 8:1-2
  • Scripture Reading: Exodus 19:1-20
  • Sermon Text: Luke 20:27-40
  • Benediction: Numbers 6:24-26

Baptist Catechism Questions
  • Question 103: How is Baptism rightly administered?

    Scripture: Matthew 3:16; John 3:23; Acts 8:38, 39.

Question 104: What is the duty of those who are rightly baptized?
Answer: It is the duty of those who are rightly baptized to give themselves to some visible and orderly church of Jesus Christ, that they may walk in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
    Scripture: Acts 2:46, 47; 9:26; 1 Peter 2:5; Hebrews 10:25; Romans 16:5.

  • Learn the 5 steps to keep children safe
  • Learn to identify the signs of sexual abuse
  • Lean how to respond compassionately and responsibly if abuse is suspected, disclosed, or discovered
  • Learn what next steps our church needs to take to ensure youth and children are safe in our ministry
This training workshop is free and open to the public. If you are currently working with preschool, children, or youth at FBC, you need to attend this workshop. Please RSVP to Pastor Kyle if you plan to attend.

COMING UP:
  • Easter (Resurrection) Sunday is coming up on April 9, just a couple of weeks from now. Breakfast at 8:30 am provided by our men. This is a great time to invite someone to attend church with you. Folks are often open to an invitation to attend church on a special day. The first pastor that I served alongside in ministry was saved at age 25 when he attended church to please his wife and mother. He heard the Gospel with the ears of faith for the first time that day and came to know Christ. Soon after, he discerned a call into the pulpit ministry. He is now retired from full-time ministry, but still looks back on that day when he went to church to satisfy his family and ended up having a life-changing encounter with the living Lord.

FIGHTER VERSE: Our Fighter Verse this week is Psalm 96:4-5
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
