GREETINGS, EVERYONE! Happy Saturday! The turn of seasons is finally here, it seems, and we are thankful for cooler days and evenings. Especially when it comes to moving, which is a segue to a particular need today.

We have someone moving to Maysville from Warsaw, MO, who has requested some help in unloading her U-Haul this evening (Saturday). The time will be around 7 or 8 pm. We have 3 or 4 helping, but could use another 2 or 3 strong hands on deck as we are not sure what items she has to unload. The house is two-bedroom, and it is just one person, a nice Baptist lady of retirement age or so. If you are available to help, please let me know by texting me at 479-238-3772. I will give you details on the location then (it is a house between Bartlett Park and the water tower).

MMO: The Mission/Vision team has set the goal for $1500 for the Rheubin L. South Missouri Missions Offering. So far we have received $910. Well done, so far, church. We have one more Sunday to officially receive the offering. Pray about what the Lord would have you give. You can read more about it at this link.

Operation Christmas Child is fast approaching. If you would like to participate, please visit the table in the narthex for more information. Contact: Mary Morrow

Lord willing, we will be dealing with the lost sheep and the lost coin tomorrow. This is
Scriptures for Sunday.  Here are the Scriptures we will be reading that will shape our corporate worship. Take a few moments to read and meditate on them as you prepare for worship tomorrow. Click anywhere on the link to see a printable version of these passages on biblegateway.com

COMING UP
  • Sunday, October 2 at 4 pm - St. Joseph Baptist Association Annual Meeting, FBC Stanberry. We will worship together, share a meal together, and conduct the necessary business of the association. Jeff Mueller, pastor of Restore Church in Yankton, SD, will be our guest speaker. All are welcome to attend. Our elected messengers should plan now to attend this meeting and represent our church. If you would like to carpool with us, meet at the church at 3 pm. We will return by approximately 8 pm.
  • Sunday, October 9, the Lord's Supper will be observed. This is a change from the printed announcement in last week's bulletin, so please note it will be on Oct. 9 and not Oct. 2. Take time between now and then to spiritually prepare for that service. Self-examination, confession and repentance of sin, and reconciling with fellow-believers are all part of that preparation.

ICYMI: Last Sunday's sermon audio The Cost of Being a Disciple of Jesus on Luke 14:25-35 is here.
Other previous messages are archived here.   Please visit our YouTube Channel to see the edited service video.
FIGHTER VERSES: Our Fighter Verse this week is Philippians 4:19 "[And] my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
